| Description | Shell up to ca. 28 mm high, fragile, compressed, right valve slightly more inflated than left valve, somewhat higher than wide, inequivalve and equilateral, auricles unequal in shape and size, umbonal angle ca. 105 degrees, inner surface somewhat irregularly radially undulated, opaque whitish. Valves sculptured with widely spaced, radial lirae (ca. 10, increasing to 45 ventrally), covered with commarginal lamellae, forming almost hollow sections on the lirae. Byssal notch shallow, byssal fasciole narrow. Ctenolium lacking. |
