| Description | Shell up to ca. 30 mm high, weakly inflated, oblong, nearly equivalve, inequilateral, auricles strongly unequal, umbonal angle ca. 85-90 degrees, colour creamy brown, brownish and whitish spots, right valve paler. Both valves sculptured with numerous, closely spaced radial ribs. Auricles radially sculptured with ca. 10-12 riblets. Byssal notch moderately deep, byssal fasciole narrow. Functional ctenolium on suture (4-6 teeth). |
