| Description | Shell up to ca. 9 mm high, fragile, semi-transparent, weakly inflated, subcircular, somewhat wider than high, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, inequivalve, nearly equilateral, anterior auricles larger than posterior, unequal in shape, internal ribs rudimentary, umbonal angle ca. 105 degrees, colour milky white. Left valve with reticulated sculpture of regularly spaced radial costae (ca. 25) and commarginal lamellae, less conspicuous than costae. Auricles also with reticulated sculpture. Right valve with closely spaced commarginal lirae. Byssal notch shallow, byssal fasciole narrow and ctenolium lacking. |
