| Description | Shell up to ca. 11 mm high, thin, semi-transparent, higher than long, inflated, slightly oblique, commarginally undulated, left valve convex, right valve flattened, inequivalve, inequilateral, anterior auricle longer than posterior, unequal in shape, umbonal angle ca. 90 degrees, colour whitish. Left valve with wide spaced commarginal lirae and numerous irregularly and closely-set overrunning radial threads. Right valve with similar sculpture, commarginal lirae broader and radial scupture more obsolete. Auricles with delicate radial sculpture. Byssal notch deep, byssal fasciole rather broad, functional ctenolium present. |
