| Description | Shell up to ca. 12 mm high, fragile, opaque white to semi-transparent, glossy near umbonal area, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, almost circular, inequivalve and nearly equilateral, auricles unequal in shape and size. Left valve sculptured with ventrally curled, distinct narrow commarginal lamellae. Right valve with closely spaced, weak commarginal lirae. Marginal apron often broken off. Byssal notch shallow, byssal fasciole narrow (almost lacking). Internal ribs 10-11, in some specimens lacking or only rudimentary in the central part. |
