| Description | Shell up to ca. 20 mm high, somewhat higher than wide, nearly equivalve and equilateral, auricles strongly unequal, umbonal angle ca. 95 degrees, basic colour creamy, with brownish and whitish spots and dots near umbonal region on left valve, right valve paler. Both valves sculptured with numerous, irregularly spaced primary and secondary radial riblets. Delicate antimarginal and commarginal microsculpture in interspaces of left valve, right valve with antimarginal microsculpture in early growth stage. Anterior auricle of left valve radially sculptured with 10 delicate riblets with intercostal scratches. Byssal notch moderately deep, byssal fasciole broad. Functional ctenolium on suture (ca. 5 teeth). |
