| Description | Shell small up to 5 mm high, fragile, subcircular, wider than high, inequivalve, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, inequilaterial, slightly oblique posteriorly, auricles unequal in size, umbonal angle ca. 110 degrees, opaque white in umbonal area, elsewhere translucent and colourless. Left valve sculptured with widely spaced commarginal lamellae and delicate radial sculpture nearly obsolete. Right valve with outer layer of commarginally elongate, hexagonal prisms. Byssal notch of moderate depth, byssal fsciole rather broad. Internal riblets lacking. |
