| Description | Shell up to ca. 5 mm high, very fragile, transparent or opaque milky white, weakly inflated, right valve more convex than left valve, nearly circular, inequivalve, nearly equilateral, auricles nearly equal in size, but unequal in shape, anterior auricles with delicate commarginal lamellae, posterior auricles smooth and continuous with disc. internal ribs lacking. Left valve smooth, sometimes with minute commarginal lirae near ventral margin. Right valve also smooth, with a microscopic granular structure. Byssal notch shallow, byssal fasciole and ctenolium lacking. |
