| Description | Shell small up to ca. 6 mm high, fragile, whitish opaque, weakly inflated, nearly circular, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, inequivalve, somewhat inequilateral, auricles unequal in size, umbonal angle ca. 125 degrees. Left valve sculptured throughout (also on auricles) with regularly and closely spaced, commarginal lamellae with strongly developed hollow spines. Right valve with regularly narrow spaced, delicate commarginal lirae. Byssal notch relatively deep, byssal fasciole narrow. Internal riblets lacking. Marginal apron of right valve often broken off. |
