| Description | Shell small, up to ca. 17 mm high, circular, left valve somewhat concave, right valve convex, inequivalve, equilateral, auricles nearly equal in size, colour of left valve dotted creamy-brown on brown, right valve creamy-white with reddish brown maculations near umbo. Left valve with broad 19 angulate radial costae and narrow interspaces. Right valve with 20 narrow radial costae and broad interspaces with commarginal lamellae. Auricles with delicate commarginal lamellae and weak radial riblets near disc boundary. Byssal notch shallow. Functional ctenolium rudimentary with one tooth. |
