Type data   Holotype (H 5.3 mm, L 5.2 mm, D 1.5 mm) Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (MNHN 20459). Type locality: French Polynesia, Marquesas Islands, Hiva Oa, 09*49'S, 140*00'E, 210-258 m, alive, N.O. "Alis", col. B. Richer de Forges & P. Bouchet, 28.viii.1997 (MUSORSTOM 9 stn DR 1199).
Description

  Shell up to ca. 5.5 mm high, fragile, opaque to semi-transparent, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, almost circular, inequivalve, equilateral, auricles unequal in shape and size, umbonal angle ca. 120 degrees, colour whitish.

  Left valve with delicate commarginal lamellae and irregularly spaced radial lirae. Right valve with closely spaced commarginal lirae. Internal ribs 10. Byssal notch shallow, byssal fasciole narrow.

Habitat   Living 258-270 m on soft bottom assemblages.
