| Description | Shell small up to ca. 16 mm high, fragile, semi-transparent white, inflated, circular, higher than wide, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, inequivalve and inequilateral, somewhat posteriorly oblique, auricles strongly unequal in size and shape, umbonal angle ca. 95 degrees. Left valve sculptured with closely spaced, commarginal lamellae and radial riblets (reticulate appearance). Anterior auricle with fine radial riblets, crossed by fine commarginal lamellae. Right valve with regularly spaced, fine commarginal lirae. Anterior auricle strongly sculptured near lateral margin with commarginal lamellae. Byssal notch relatively deep, byssal fasciole narrow. Internal riblets 10 extending to the submarginal region. |
