| Description | Shell up to 12.5 mm high, fragile, subcircular, inequivalve of sculpture, slightly equilateral, left valve distinctively more convex than right valve, auricles dissimilar in shape, anterior auricle somewhat larger than posterior one, umbonal angle ca. 120 degrees, transparent white. Left valve disc and auricles with reticular sculpture of closely spaced commarginal lamellae and delicate radial threads, fine solid nodules at intersections. Right valve with closely spaced commarginal lirae. Byssal notch moderately deep, byssal fasciole narrow. Internal riblets lacking. |
